Awareness Through Movement ® Workshop

Workshops are a great way of experiencing the Feldenkrais Method more fully - there is more time to explore and learn, and sense the changes in the way you move. You will be guided through 2-3 lessons around a theme with breaks in between.
​
While most of the workshop will take place with you lying on the floor, you will need to be able to get up and down to the floor unaided.
​
Please bring a mat to lie on and wear warm loose clothing.

Being upright can be hard work, even if you don’t have “bad posture”. Our muscles tense to hold us up in our own unique way. We tire and may want to sit or lie down as our back or neck starts to hurt. Everyday tasks become real chores.
This Feldenkrais workshop will help create a more efficient bodily organization, reducing the effort required of your muscles by having your skeleton carry your weight. Being upright can then become almost effortless, freeing up energy and creating a sense of lightness and greater ease of movement.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and seasoned Feldenkrais enthusiasts alike, and entails slow, gentle movements.
